Prairie Dog Bluesman to Be Honored at House of Blues

Fats Grasser, a prairie dog harmonica virtuoso known for his mastery of the blues, will be honored in June at a tribute concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans, the legendary club announced today.  The blockbuster lineup includes performances by Marcia Ball, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Taj Mahal, Ben Harper and the North Mississippi Allstars.

Grasser will be presented with a gold plated copy of his 2001 record, “Desert Burrow Blues,” which went 2x platinum in the United States.

Cute Duckling Can’t Get Enough of Lame Joke

“What do you get when you cross a cow and a duck?” asks Jennifer Lovegood. “Give up?  Milk and quackers.  Yeah.  I know.  It’s that bad.”

According to Lovegood, who serves on the local town council, an area duckling by the name of H.R. Flufnstuf just can’t stop with that joke.  "All day long, he demands people tell him the joke, then he bursts out laughing while everyone else groans,“ says Lovegood.  "I know he’s cute, but I mean, it’s seriously trying my patience.”

Bird psychologist Dr. Timothy Acker says this type of behavior is not uncommon among ducklings. “Ducks take a long time to develop a keen sense of humor,” Acker told The Fluffington Post via phone. “Sometimes it is 3 or 4 years before they can distinguish between a good joke and a crap one.  You just have to give it time.”

Local Puppy Totally Not Sold on the Vegan Thing

According to sources, area corgi pup Tidbit is not at all buying the vegan diet his roommates are into.

“I’ve tried to sell him on the health benefits, I’ve tried to sell him on the environmental benefits, I’ve tried to convince him it’s more humane, but he just won’t have any of it,” says James McPhereson, Tidbit’s roommate. “I think he’s fine with most of it, but he’s got a pretty righteous bacon addiction.  Anyway, man, if you’re not gonna join the hack circle, could you maybe go over there?”
