Area Kitten Finally Catches Up on ‘Scandal’

Pepper, a local cat, finally caught up on DVRed episodes of the show Scandal, by binge-watching all of season season three yesterday. 

“She’s now totally caught up to the mid-season hiatus,” said housemate and fellow Scandal fan Todd Benson. “She’ll be ready to watch the second run when it returns later this month.”

Benson said he’s relieved that Pepper is finally caught up because he had to “walk on eggshells” for the past few months, trying not to reveal any spoilers.

DIY: How To Build a Fort Out of a Litter Box Cover

Nigel, a cat from Fort Lee, NJ, has come up with an ingenious way to repurpose an old litter box cover into a kitty-sized club house. The DIY project uses just simple, household materials: a cardboard box, some scissors, a bath towel and the cover.

“It doesn’t even involve any glue or nails,” said Jenna Lindhold, a close friend of Nigel. “You just have to know the correct way to stack the components and where to cut the box.”

Nigel has released the specifications and instructions for the fort as a $0.99 e-book download on Amazon Kindle. If he makes enough money, he plans to build an addition using an old hamper and some leftover Christmas tinsel.

Local Cat Totally Bored During Dinner Party

On Friday, Chicago area cat Fidel had what he thought was a brilliant idea: assemble all his closest friends at his apartment on Sunday for a pre-Super Bowl dinner party. He was wrong.

“I had an okay time, the chicken was a little dry, but you could tell Fidel was bored to tears,” said Janet Melvin, a friend and party guest.

Most of the evening, the cat just sat in his chair, staring off into space and trying to keep awake. The conversation was reportedly quite bad.

“The only thing more boring than that party, in Fidel’s estimation,” said Joshua Bixley, another guest, “was the game that followed. What a snooze.”
