Tip: Cat Health Begins With Good Hygiene

According doctors at the famed Mayo Clinic for Cats, maintaining a healthy feline immune system this cold and flu season begins with good hygiene.  That means washing those paws with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds before eating and trying not to rub your face on the floor.

Printer on the Fritz? Check for Cats.

The next time you’ve got a paper jam or that little blinking light, skip the Geek Squad and open that baby up. Chances are, you’ve got a cat lodged somewhere in your laserjet.

Don’t worry. She’s more afraid of you than you are of her. Simply dislodge the cat (a little WD-40 will do the trick if she’s really wedged in there), and send her on her way. Your pinfeed will be flowing like wine in no time.

STUDY: More Cats Are Forgoing College to Start Internet Businesses

It’s a boom time for cats on the Internet.  According to a new study from the Pew Center for Feline Life, a shocking 23% more cats in 2012 will opt to start Internet businesses instead of going to college than in 2011.  Experts attribute the jump to the popularity of cat-based Internet memes like LOLCats and the success of Internet celebrities like Maru and Sockington.

“The said truth,” warned Raymund Acevedo, director of research at Pew, “is that most of these new cat businesses will fail in their first year.  We should be encouraging our cats to stay in school and get a proper education.”
