Shag Carpeting Made From Live Cats to Hit U.S. Stores
DuPont Pets, makers of patented CatWeave™ Shag Carpeting, will be offering its wares to U.S. retailers for the first time this March, according to Carpet Diem Magazine.
While the company does not recommend people actually walk on the carpet once it’s installed, they do tout it as “the fluffiest floor you’ll ever have in your home.”
CatWeave™ has been extremely popular in Japan for at least three years.

Sock Monkey Smothered by Kitten
In a shocking turn of events, an area sock monkey was found nearly smothered to death by an adorable kitten early Sunday morning. Fortunately, a neighbor had called 911, and the paramedics who arrived on the scene were able to resuscitate the home-sewn plush toy.

SuperCat Saves Fireman Stuck in Tree
The mysterious hero known as SuperCat was spotted again in suburban New York when Jake Hushion, a volunteer fire fighter, became entangled in a mess of branches and power lines. Hushion was attempting to rescue a civilian cat, who had climbed up the tree and was too scared to come down, according to witnesses on the scene.
“SuperCat just came out of nowhere,” says Linda Goldstein, who witnessed the entire episode. “She untangled the fireman and brought them both back safely.”
Just as soon as she appeared, SuperCat was gone before our reporters reached the scene.

Cat Cribs Recalled in Denmark
Danish manufacturer Hej Katte, Inc. has recalled 10,000 cat cribs after numerous complaints of faulty joints. The unstable cribs may pose a danger to your feline.
Owners of the crib model “Snorken Fur” should contact the company by phone or email for instructions on replacing the product at no cost.
