Cat Attempts Self-Shot for New Facebook Profile Pic

In a bid to freshen up her Facebook profile after the rollout of “Timeline,” an area cat attempted to take a flattering photo of herself. Most humans know this is nearly impossible to do without looking contrived. But cats, inexperienced with smartphone cameras, have to learn somehow.

Witnesses report that the seven “likes” the cat received on her new photo are actually passive aggressive gestures by friends who feel threatened by her.

Oliver, a cat in Washington, D.C., has been engaged in a staring contest with his reflection for the past 4 hours, according to witnesses.  Sources tell The Fluffington Post that even after the physics of reflective surfaces were explained to Oliver, he refused to budge.  Experts think that may be because Oliver is a cat, and cats generally don’t have a good grasp of physics.

Agoraphobic Cat Refuses to Leave Futuristic Egg House

Mitzy, a kitty from Sacramento, CA, has reportedly refused to leave her egg-shaped, pod house.  Feline psychologists have diagnosed Mitzy with derealization disorder, a type of dissociative anxiety.  "For Mitzy, her egg is a safe haven.  It is her whole world,“ said Dr. Jonas Günderson. "Things outside the egg don’t even seem real to Mitzy anymore.”

At least one friend who wished to remain anonymous presented a different theory: “She’s a cat.  A freakin’ cat.  She’ll come out when she’s hungry.”

Posh Kitty Spares No Expense in Keeping Warm

Gertrude Penelope Pennyapple (of the Stamford Pennyapples) is no stranger to luxury. The wealthy 11-month-old feline living in Ogdensburg, NY is known for her extravagant lifestyle.

That’s why her recent purchase of a $900 cat warmer comes as no surprise to area residents.

“I don’t think that’s what that’s for,” says Mary Sweeny of the cat’s lavish purchase. “It’s not a real efficient way to keep warm.”

Obviously, Pennyapple’s moves have little to do with efficiency, and everything to do with style.
