Cat Helps With Knitting Project

Though they’re generally known as sedentary creatures, cats can actually come in handy around the house. Take Leo, for example. The Russian Blue has proven especially adept at the art of knitting, making his owner’s life considerably easier.

“He immediately took to my yarn when I got him,” says Anna Forsythe. “I thought, ‘maybe I could teach him to do this.’ It’s been a bit slow going, but he’s getting there.”

Just last week, the two began work on their most ambitious project to date: an infinity scarf.

“I thought it was as good a time as any,” says Forsythe. “We had a few false starts where he just unraveled everything and played with the yarn for a few hours. If he can get the cable stitching down though, we should be good.”

Cat Unimpressed with Bathroom Remodel

Tucker the cat had purchased his dream home. It had everything he’d ever wanted – except a decent-looking bathroom.

“That was really the only drawback,” says friend Sarah Slack. “The cabinetry was outdated and the floor tiles were a really ugly shade of yellow. He caved when he bought the place, but when he moved in, it had to go.”

After searching high and low for a general contractor, Tucker decided on an affordable option he had found on Craigslist.

“That was a mistake,” says Slack. “The pewter fixtures and granite panels they put in were nice, but the sink ruined the whole deal – it’s not nearly big enough to nap in. At least he still has the infinity pool.”

Cat Bucks the Standing Desk Trend

Despite recent studies showing the detrimental effects of too much sitting, San Francisco cat Tabby has been steadfastly ignoring the numerous emails from the HR department encouraging her to get up an move around.

The feline programmer works at a forward-thinking tech startup that has been offering employees the option to switch to standing desks and take walking meetings. They’ve also outfitted all hires with Fitbit tracking bands and instituted a monthly prize for whoever moves the most.

“We want to make sure that our team is happy and healthy. It’s good for our employees and it saves on our healthcare premiums,” HR manager Patricia Wallace said. “Everybody was really excited about bringing in standing desks except Tabby. She seems totally content to curl up on her chair, even though it’s not good for her. I mean she leave aside the health stuff, she can barely reach the keys!“

REPORT: Cat Is Awful at Taking Selfies

Everyone’s taking selfies these days, so it was only a matter of time before Sheila got in on the action. The area cat recently purchased her first smartphone, and has reportedly been snapping away ever since.

“She really has no idea what she’s doing,” says Debra Russell, the cat’s owner. “I took a look at her Instagram the other day, and it’s just all terrible selfies.”

Photography experts tell The Fluffington Post that Sheila may be at a natural disadvantage.

“Cats can’t raise their arms very well,” says Frank Koenig of Sears Portrait Studio in Athens, GA. “The resulting low angle can be detrimental to the photo. She might also just be really bad at photography.”

The cat has apparently shown no signs of slowing down. 

“She’ll grow out of it – hopefully,” says Russell. “I honestly don’t know how many more close-up shots of whiskers I can look at.”
