Cat Unimpressed by Summer TV Lineup

Area cat Twilly has let it be known that she is not at all impressed by this summer’s slate of new television shows.

“Twilly is an avid television watcher,” said spokesperson Pia Tomás, “but this season’s new shows just seem lackluster.  Duets is one singing competition too many, Men at Work seems formulaic, Mob Wives is a gimmick, Dogs in the City is about dogs – no thank you.”

Tomás added that Twilly was excited about HBO’s new Aaron Sorkin vehicle, The Newsroom, and for Snooki & JWOW, but hasn’t gotten on board with Charlie Sheen’s hit show Anger Management.  "She found the whole ‘tiger blood’ thing an insult to her feline heritage,“ said Tomás. "She still hasn’t forgiven him for that,”

Mr. Bump Pressing Charges Over Kitten Assault

After some urging from his attorney, Mr. Bump (of Mr. Men fame) has come forward with allegations that Marley the kitten savagely attacked him last Tuesday.

Bump had already been healing from prior injuries, making this beating all the more painful, according to sources.

“No one should stand for an attack like this,” says Kim Shoal, Bump’s attorney. “My client has the support of the entire egg-shaped man community behind him.”

Cat’s Handcrafted Wood Furniture Is a Hit on Etsy

Smokey McWhiskers isn’t someone most people have heard of, but give it five years and he may just be a household name.  McWhiskers’ handmade wood furniture is taking the online world by storm, and drawing heads in the multibillion dollar home decor industry.

“He’s already our fastest merchant to $1 million in sales,” said Etsy associate community manager, Tad Newberg.  According to Newberg, McWhiskers hit that mark just 16 days after uploading his first chair and putting it on sale. High profile blog coverage on Luxist, Apartment Therapy and Re-Nest certainly helped get him there.

McWhiskers is said to be in talks with Crate and Barrel about creating a signature, mass produced line of tables, chairs and bed frames based on his designs, while Target has reportedly called about developing a more affordable spinoff.
