Notorious Catnip Dealer Convicted on 3 Counts

After a five-year cathunt and four-month-long trial, the infamous criminal mastermind Ninja was convicted in superior court on two counts of selling illegal catnip and one count of money laundering.

“We’re very pleased that this menace to society is finally behind bars,” said the Jason Kemnitzer, the district attorney who prosecuted the case.

Ninja has been sentenced to five years hard labor at Lolcatraz Correctional Facility, though his attorneys said in a statement that they plan to appeal.

Tough Economy Forces Kitten to Downsize to Smaller Box

Spark, a kitty from Creston, IA, recently fell behind on his mortgage and was forced to downsize to a smaller box.  

“He used to be in a spacious Sony television box,” said real estate agent Sonia Dunlinson, “and not one of the new LCD ones, either.  It was one of those big old 27” cathode ray tube TV boxes. It had beautiful craftsmanship and original flooring.“

According to Dunlinson, however, economic conditions forced the kitten to sell the house via a short sale.  He is now renting a U.S. Postal Service Priority Mailer.

Angry Cat Sent to Behavior Modification Program

Vinny is an angry cat.  After flipping out on a roll of toilet paper late last month, a judge sentenced him to 3 months probation and a mandatory anger management program.  

According to program director, Dr. Alan Weinkrantz, Vinny is starting to learn how to control his anger and “put on a happy face.”

Crate & Barrel Debuts New Line of Kitten Decor

Home furnishings retailer Crate & Barrel announced in a press release today that it will begin shipping a new line of glassware, kitchen gadgets and home decor. The Kitten Collection should hit store shelves in early November, just in time for the holidays.

“Yes, they are real kittens,” says Amanda Potter, a spokesperson for the retailer. “But it’s all in how they work within a room. A kitten in a cupboard? Kitten pitcher. A kitten on your night table? Kitten lamp. We’re talking about some very high-level, conceptual design choices here that we think our customers will really embrace.  I mean, literally, who doesn’t want to hug a kitten?”
