Cat Flips Over Nicki Minaj’s Departure From ‘Idol’

The announcement that singers Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj will leave the judging table on Fox’s American Idol has one cat up in arms…er, paws.

“Dizzie read the news on the Internet and just went crazy,” says Richard Michner, the cat’s roommate. “He started swiping at pictures of Nicki on the screen. He was very upset.”

Sources tell The Fluffington Post that Dizzie is a huge fan of Minaj, and has grown accustom to seeing her on the weekly singing competition.

“I think it really took him by surprise, and now he’s heartbroken,” says Michner. “Maybe he’ll switch over to The Voice.”

Kitten Piano Virtuoso to Play Carnegie Hall

In August, Gwendolyn the kitten will make history by becoming the first cat ever to play legendary Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The kitty piano virtuoso has been wowing audiences around the country since playing to a standing ovation on the Ellen TV show a few months ago.

“She’s just a stunning talent,” said Jaclyn Crowe, editor-in-chief of Ivory Cats magazine, the only magazine dedicated to piano playing cats. “In my 13 years editing this magazine, I have only come across one other cat with her skill: Keyboard Cat.”

We all know how that one turned out.

Feline Admiral Quashes Mutiny

Sources aboard the HMS Tungsten tell The Fluffington Post that Admiral Jens, the first feline admiral of the British navy, has suppressed a mutiny aboard his flagship.

“Some of the sailors weren’t keen on taking orders from a cat,” says one source, who asked to be quoted anonymously for his own safety. “Admiral Jens made some unpopular decisions, and a few guys started talking about usurping his command. But the Admiral wouldn’t stand for it. He made an example of them pretty quickly. They’re all locked up in the brig now.”

The tactic worked. A corroborating source says that murmurs of mutiny have subsided completely, and everyone is back to work. Admiral Jens could not be reached for comment, but many consider this a victory for feline sailors everywhere.
