Cat Will Not Be Getting His Security Deposit Back

Maxwell, a cat and student at the University of Illinois, received the bad news from his landlord this morning: he won’t be getting his security deposit back.

The kitty moved out of his apartment last week after wrapping up the semester and spent two days cleaning and fixing damage, but apparently it wasn’t enough.

“I found empty catnip bags all over the basement, there was litter ground into the bathroom tile, and the there were scratch marks all over the drapes,” said Jennifer Gillis, who owns the apartment. “The cats who lived here were clearly party animals.”

DJ Tuna to Play Gathering of Vibes

Renowned electronica artist DJ Tuna has been added to the line-up for this year’s Gathering of Vibes festival. The Bridgeport, CT music fest, a highly anticipated annual stop on the never-ending deadhead circuit, has added Tuna for a late-night DJ set.

The cat is scheduled to play day one from 2am until dawn and will be spinning his trademark downtempo beats.

Prepare to get mellow, folks.

Kitty Union Demands Food Dish Be Left Out All Day

Cat Union Local 402 is threatening to strike unless their demand that the food dish be left our during the day is met.

“Enough of the scheduled feedings,” said cat union spokesperson, Colin Hubbard. “These cats work hard, they play hard, they nap hard, and they deserve to eat whenever they get hungry, not just when ‘The Man’ deems it okay.”

Hubbard said the kitties are fully prepared the strike and that the Hamsters Union may join them. The hamsters won a similar fight earlier this year, and their food is now dispensed throughout the day via a canister affixed to the side of their cage.
