Bunny Sheds Pounds With Raw Food Diet

A local bunny named Tom is reporting that he has lost some serious weight after switching to a vegan, raw food diet a few months ago.

“Tom will pretty much only eat plant-based foods and he’s probably 95% raw,” said friend Caroline Senna.  "He’ll make the occasional exception and have some olive oil braised carrots once in awhile, but mostly he sticks to the diet.“

And boy has it paid off.  Senna reports that Tom has lost three ounces since starting the diet in May and is now nearing his target weight.

Belgian Bunny Needs Attitude Check

Jonathan has been in a pretty dour mood lately. The Brussels-based bunny is exuding attitude in droves.

“Maybe it’s because her name is Jonathan, and she’s a girl,” says Katy Wilmes, who expressed concerns about the bunny’s gender identity.

While experts say the name shouldn’t matter, close friends are worried the mixup is souring Jonathan’s outlook.

Kitten Steals Bunny’s Strawberries

Multiple witnesses are reporting that an unidentified kitten has swooped in to steal the strawberries from a bunny named Moose.

“It’s weird because kittens don’t really eat strawberries,” says Pat O’Connor, a passerby who saw the incident. “It just seems really mean.”

Cat Hires Bunnies for Protection

Fearing harassment from the dog, area cat Zanzibar has hired a cadre of bunny rabbits as bodyguards.  

“Zan came to us for his security needs and we created a custom package for him that does include bunny rabbit guards,” confirmed Rob Carchman, CEO of Rabbit-Proof Security.  Carchman would not go into detail on the type or amount of personal protection hired by Zanzibar, but did say that he has full confidence that the dog will no longer be bothering his client.

The dog could not be reached for comment.
