Owl Tired Of All The Owl Jokes

Owl Tired Of All The Owl Jokes

By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent

Mowgli was always a tolerant owl. However, as friends tell The Fluffington Post, that all changed as soon as he went on Reddit late last week.

“There was another funny owl picture,” says Brent Wallach. “Mowgli decided he’d finally had enough. I mean, he was cool about it when it first started. But after 80 or so memes, it kind of stops being funny.”

Indeed, 2012 has seen an explosion in owl-related content.

“Owl humor has really proliferated online in the past year,” says Internet expert Ross McCullum. “We’ve seen owl memes, owl Twitter jokes, and of course, funny owl videos. As with any online trend, though, we must be careful to avoid saturation. We run the risk of alienating the owl community. And really, nobody wants that."

Penguin Candidate Clings to Flightless Presidential Campaign

Penguin Candidate Clings to Flightless Presidential Campaign

Hugh Wilmore, life-long penguin and presidential candidate for the Avian Americans Party, is pressing forward in his bid for the White House, despite the resignation of three top advisers who insist he stands no chance in November.

“He’s a third-party candidate who flipper-flopped – if you will – on too many important issues,” says Ted Cortese, political analyst for antarctico.com. “Iceberg mining will create jobs? What is that?”

“He’s out there again today, waving to crowds and pecking babies,” a Wilmore campaign official tells The Fluffington Post under condition of anonymity. “It’s just embarrassing at this point. He wasn’t even invited to the debates.”

Chicks Tie the Knot in Beautiful Private Ceremony

Though they may be young, it was clear to guests that Herman and Sherry Cluckingham are truly in love. The society chicks were wed Thursday evening in front of family and friends, and while there was some concern about their age, no one in attendance maligned the nuptials.

“It was beautiful,” says Martha Graham, one attendee. “They insisted on reciting their own vows. That’s when the water works came on for me.”

Attire at the event was provided by renown bird clothier Chicks in Hats. The bridal party donned some of this season’s most sought-after headgear.

“Chicks in Hats is extremely hot right now,” says fashion blogger Kerri Potsdam. “Expect the signature style to grace magazine covers for months to come.”
