Cat Plays Dead to Get Out of Work
Izzy has a serious case of the Mondays. The three year old cat woke up this morning feeling sluggish and uninspired – not sick, exactly, but certainly in no shape to go punch the clock at the nap factory where she works.
“Then she had a stroke of genius,” said a coworker speaking on the condition of anonymity. “Calling in sick only gets you out of one day at the office, but call in dead and you dodge weeks, months… maybe even years of work.”
While some might classify what Izzy is doing as “insurance fraud,” our sources say that Izzy, who is planning to collect on her life insurance policy as her own heir, feels she is entitled to her respite.

Cat Earns 2nd Place on ‘Top Chef Masters’
While the competition was close, judges on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters ultimately did not award North Carolina cat Charlie with the coveted prize. His recipe for PB&T (peanut butter and tuna) landed him in second place.
“That’s fine,” says Charlie’s longtime restaurant partner Grant Fisher. “We’re disappointed, but it’s still great for his career. Thanks to the show’s exposure, we have investors lining up. We hope to expand our restaurants out to the West Coast in 2013.”

Area Dog Will Brake for Pringles
Australian dog Pocksy has a tough time keeping still. But his roommate recently discovered that potato chips will do the trick.
“I ended up bribing him with Pringles,” says Boon Mark Souphanh. "It turns out, once you pop, he stops.“
