The FluffPo Sues ‘Horsington Post’ for Trademark Infringement

In a move that will undoubtedly send shock waves throughout the media world, this publication has filed a lawsuit against recently launched media outlet The Horsington Post for “clear and malicious trademark infringement.”

The rival publication, which claims to be “Your #1 Source for HORSES!!”, is an obvious attempt to cash in on the hard-won success of this very website.

“The name, the tagline – it’s clearly a knockoff of The Fluffington Post,” says Barry Gold, attorney for this publication’s parent company. “It’s a violation of intellectual property, and we have every confidence the court will see it that way.”

The case is set to be heard on November 14th. The Horsington Post would not return our calls for comment.

STUDY: Twitter Kills Feline Productivity

According to a new study from the Pew Research Center, Twitter is a terrible drain on the productivity of cats.  Researchers tracked a group of 150 cats throughout the workday in the largest known study of its kind and found that the number one reason cats get distracted from napping is Twitter.

“Cats, especially house cats, love Twitter,” said lead researcher Roger Colles. “It allows them a unique channel to stay connected while also providing an outlet for their vanity.”

However, says Colles, Twitter is also a major time suck.  "There are many valuable napping hours wasted tracking the latest hashtags,“ he said.

Hamster Lost in Replica Mario World for Hours

Horace the hamster is a glutton for adventure.  He’s climbed Mt. Katahdin in Maine, he’s BASE jumped from the Perrine Bridge in Idaho and spelunked into the Cave of Swallows in Mexico.  So when he was given a chance to explore a replica of the world from Super Mario Bros., he couldn’t resist.

Unfortunately for Horace, his GPS malfunctioned and he was lost in a confusing mess of pipes and blocks for nearly four hours.

“He took the wrong turn in level two and wound up in an underground world,” said Whitney Hazelhurst, a source close to the situation.  "It was touch an go there for a bit when the fireballs started, but once he got through he got a ton of gold coins in the bonus area.“

Cat Pledges to Grow Own Catnip

In an effort to go green, Mitzy the cat has decided to grow her own catnip.  

“Most catnip is grown in Mexico and then imported to the U.S.,” said friend Tino Wells.  "The shipping uses a lot of fossil fuels and puts tons of CO2 into the air, not to mention that you have no way to be sure what sort of pesticides were used to grow the nip.“

Mitzy calculates that she can grow a year supply of the plant for her and a friend using just a couple of window boxes.  She’ll grow using strictly organic methods.
