Local Cat Scares “the Bejeesus” Out of Herself

A local cat named Winnie apparently gave herself quite a fright this evening.  Following a round of post-trick-or-treating ghost stories with friends, Winnie had the house to herself and was getting ready for bed.

According to sources close to the situation, Winnie was about to brush her teeth when the lights in her bathroom flickered causing her eyes to momentarily glow orange in the vanity mirror.  Not recognizing her own reflection at first, Winnie reportedly “freaked out” and hid under the bed.

We are told she is now resting easy and counting her Halloween treats to keep her mind off the events of the evening.

Cat Bathroom Attendant Caught Drinking on the Job

Nahla’s job was relatively simple: hang out in the bathroom at the fancy Kit Kat Klub, and hand a towel to anyone who came in to use the facilities.  Everything was going well, too.  She consistently earned high marks from her employer for friendliness and efficiency and even managed to avoid that workplace bugaboo that most cats run afoul: sleeping on the job.

Then she learned how to turn on the faucet.

“Everything was downhill from there,” said co-worker Ian Marham. Nahla has down been caught four times in the past month drinking on the job and faces dismissal.  She’ll appear before the Kit Kat Klub human resources board later this week with her union representative.
