FDA Approves New Pill for Lactose Intolerant Cats
Kitties just love a dish of milk, which makes it all the more sad when they’re diagnosed with lactose intolerance. But a new drug on the market today offers hope for cats coping with this deficiency.
Lactexia, manufactured by Pfizer, is the first FDA-approved lactose intolerance pill for cats. Just three pills a day allow kitties to indulge in their favorite creamy treats.
Side effects may include: increased hairball production, explosive diarrhea, loss of hearing, loss of tail, and mild-to-moderate death. Ask a veterinarian if Lactexia is right for your kitteh.
