5 Month Wait for Reservations at Cat Sushi Master’s Restaurant

Neko, a Manhattan-based cat and sushi expert, has become America’s foremost sushi chef almost overnight. His tiny 8-seat restaurant located in New York’s Greenwich Village only opened in August but it already has a five month waiting list for reservations.

“It’s 100% completely worth the wait and steep $350 price tag for the 6-roll tasting menu,” raved celebrity food critic Gail Simmons in a recent issue of Food & Wine magazine.

Neko, who is the hottest thing to burst onto the NYC culinary scene since the cronut, seems a shoo-in for a James Beard Rising Star award this year.

Cat Volunteers for NASA Space Mission

According to a NASA press release issued this week, Nala the cat has volunteered to lead a “manned” mission to an asteroid in 2015. The cat will lead a crew that also includes a hamster and a gecko to a visit an asteroid and test equipment that could one day be used to mine nickel, platinum and other precious metals abundant in space rocks.

“These metals could have a market value of hundreds of billions of dollars,” said   James Moorland, of the Minestar Corporation, a private space mining company. “But what might be even more valuable is the water locked up in these asteroids.”

Water is extremely expensive to transport to space, so having an accessible source of it can make long duration manned space exploration must more feasible.

The kitty and her crew are scheduled for a launch in November of 2015.

Cat Springs for 52" TV

With the return of Sunday Night Football fast approaching, local kitty Sergeant Snuzzlekins was in the market for a new TV.

“Last year we watched all the games on a 15” black and white set we got at a garage sale,“ said roommate Ben Thompson.  "It got the job done, but our friends never wanted to come over.  So this year, Snuzzy and I decided to go all out.”

According to Thompson, he and Snuzzlekins went to Best Buy over the weekend and after debating for a few minutes, decided to spring for a 52" Samsung LCD model that was on sale.  They’re looking forward to breaking it in this Sunday when the Broncos take on the Steelers. 

And yes, all their friends are coming over.

Paranoid Kitty Convinced Tinfoil Keeps the Government Away

Olive, a cat from Astor Place, North Carolina, is convinced that someone is out to get her and that tin foil is the best way to keep herself safe. 

“We thought it was a joke at first,” says family friend Tina Jameson. “She’d make these tin foil hats that were supposed to protect her brainwaves from the government.  It was funny.  But then she started covering the whole house in foil, and we realized it wasn’t a joke to her.”

Friends say Olive’s erratic behavior began recently, but has rapidly gotten worse.  The folks in the unmarked black van outside of Olive’s house would not comment for this story.
