‘Grumpy Bunny’ Not As Good As Original
It’s been almost seven months since Grumpy Cat burst into the collective consciousness of the Internet via a post on the web site Reddit, and signs of “Grumpy mania” show no signs of letting up. The cat now has oodles of merchandise, corporate sponsorships and toys and books are in the works.
Cue the copycats. Or in this case, the copy bunny.
Hoping to cash in on the crazy for all things grumpy, Otis the bunny launched a Tumblr blog last week under the name, you guessed it, “Grumpy Bunny.” So far, though, it has been met with a cool reception.
“You can’t just manufacture these things,” said BuzzFeed web culture editor Natalie Sparks. “Grumpy Cat, like Boo the dog before her and I am sure countless others to follow, captured a singular moment with a completely unique schtick. Grumpy Bunny, on the other hand, is an also-ran. He’s cute, but he’s trying too hard.”

Bunnies Reenact ‘Jane Eyre’ Marriage Proposal
As part of a school project, two bunnies named Hildegard and Francis have reenacted the marriage proposal scene from Jane Eyre. Francis took on the role of Rochester, while Hildegard became Jane.
“It was magnificent,” said their teacher, Mrs. Fiegelson. “Hildegard was really able to communicate the distress Jane felt when she confessed her love for Rochester. A+ work.”
The bunnies are planning to work together on their next class project, this time about The Great Gatsby.

Bunny Bored by Current Season of ‘Smash’
The Fluffington Post has received numerous reports that a Westchester, NY bunny named Buster Baxter is “totally bored” by the current season of NBC’s musical drama Smash, and has considered wiping unwatched episodes from his DVR.
“The music is still pretty good, but the plot just got totally weird,” says Jennifer Sterges, a friend of Mr. Baxter who watches the show every week with the bunny. “There’s so much good TV these days. Buster and I are just having a hard time justifying an hour a week on such a predictable story, you know?”
