Pug Lands Dream Job as Bouncer for Taylor Swift

JJ, a pug from Nashville, TN, has landed his dream job: he’s going to be on the security team for Taylor Swift’s summer tour. 

“Oh, he’s in heaven,” said friend Kathy Muñoz. “He’s a huge Swifty and now he’s going to be on her staff!”

According to Muñoz, the dog will be in charge of making sure no unauthorized concert attendees get back stage during the shows.

Local Dog is a Total Chick Magnet

No one knows how he does it.

According to sources, Flip the dog is a veritable expert when it comes to attracting chicks. Once an average border collie, Flip has intrigued animal lovers and scientific experts alike with his uncanny ability to pick up loads of chicks. 

“Flip has a skill virtually unrivaled in the dog community,” says zoologist Kirk Horton. “Or the human community, for that matter. Once chicks come to him, they don’t leave. To be honest, I’m kind of jealous.”

Friends say they’re baffled by the dog’s sudden talent.

“It’s like somebody flipped a switch,” says Ryan Deal. “He never used to get any chicks — they barely even noticed him. But not anymore. Chicks love him.”

And it only got worse over the Easter holiday.

“Oh, man,” says Deal. “The chicks were everywhere. In baskets, in marshmallow form — it was like Christmas for him. But with chicks.”

Corgi Finds Ladybug Via Craigslist’s ‘Missed Connections’

A Sacramento, CA corgi named Franklin caught a fleeting glimpse of a ladybug at the park last week, and while he felt an instant connection, there was little chance the two would ever meet again.

“He was late getting home, and she was out running errands,” says Jennifer Winter, a friend who was with the dog at the time. “He was really  bummed about it, so I told him to write a ‘Missed Connections’ post on Craigslist. It couldn’t hurt, right?”

“Me: Smiley corgi. You: Beautiful ladybug. Saw you at the park and our eyes met before you flew off,” the ad reads. Sure enough, Franklin got a reply.

“Her name is Sheila, and they’ve already had four playdates over at the park where they first met,” says Winter. “I’ve never seen him so happy.”

Puppy Party Planners Hire 16 New Employees

Business is exploding for dog-owned event planning startup Paws the Music. Ever since the birthday extravaganza for a Russian telecom mogul went off without a hitch, the pups have been in high demand. To meet their bookings, they’ve had to hire 16 new employees in the last three months.

“It’s great for the local economy,” says Chase Bank manager Norman Guthrie. His branch granted the dogs a small business loan two years ago, which has of course been repaid in full. “They’ve created jobs, and are tapping into a really upscale market. And of course, they throw the best parties. The waiting list right now is ridiculous.”
