Dog Cashes In Apple Stock From 1989
A golden retriever named Dillinger has sold 100 shares of Apple, Inc. that his father purchased in 1989. The total value? $101,589.
“Apple is frequently in the running as the most valuable company in the world,” says Harry Coors, a tech biz analyst with The Wall Street Journal. “Anyone who has held on to stock from the early days stands to make a pretty penny.”
Dillinger’s dad bought the shares for a paltry $40.25, and willed them, along with other financial assets, to Dillinger when he was just a pup.
“He was pretty savvy when it came to investing in hot young companies,” says Marcy Grey, a friend of the family. “He stuck with Apple through the good times and the lean times. What a pay day for D.”
Sources close to the dog say he plans to take a little vacation and invest the rest of the money in real estate.

Dog and Parrot No Longer Speaking After Incident
Murray the dog and Twister the parrot used to be best friends. But then came the incident.
Last Monday, the two were out at the park — part of their usual Monday routine — and things were going well, according to Minnie Carrothers, a friend.
“Usually Murray and Twister get ice cream before they head home,” said Carrothers, “but for some reason, Murray got it in his head that he wanted gelato instead.”
After a heated argument, a frustrated Twister nipped Murray on the nose.
“Now they won’t even speak to each others,” said Carrothers. “Stupid, right? I mean, gelato and ice cream area really similar.”

Local Dog Wins Rising Star Award
A Weimaraner puppy named Maya was given a prestigious honor this evening when she was awarded the annual “Rising Star” plaque.
The award is given each year to the dog that shows the most promise and exemplifies the spirit of the community.
“Maya is really great dog,” said organizer Emma Botzer, while scratching Maya under the chin. “She’s amazing with kids, she never bites… She’s just such a good dog. Isn’t she just the best dog?! Who’s the best dog? Who’s the best dog? Whoo-joo-joo-boo?”
The award itself, which is made from a special lucite-like rawhide composite, doubles as a chew toy.
