Cat’s Lewd Snapchat Photo Sinks Political Career
In a move reminiscent of the Anthony Weiner scandal, a cat’s promising political career was thwarted this week when suggestive photos that were sent over the social network Snapchat came to light.
Qwerty the cat had been gearing up for a 2014 senate run, but experts now agree his political aspirations were all but dashed this week when gossip website TMZ obtained a lewd photo the cat allegedly sent to an aide. The photo was sent via Snapchat, a real-time picture application for mobile phones that allows users to send messages that automatically delete themselves once viewed.
Worse than the photo, according to political analysts, was Qwerty’s non-apology.
"If he had just ‘fessed up to sending the pic in the first place, his career might have been salvageable," said Pamela Baptista, a political consultant. "Instead, he offered this lame excuse about how he thought Snapchat photos couldn’t be saved. He’s totally cooked."
