Deleted ‘Jurassic Park’ Scene Reveals Puppy Sub Plot
Newly discovered film from the Steven Spielberg Archives has Jurassic Park fans reeling Friday morning. It appears the director had toyed with the idea of including a Maltese puppy character named Milo, but left his scenes on the cutting room floor.
”The scenes were basically just re-cuts of the original shots, but with an adorable puppy,” says film historian Ronald Buff. “At the end of the day, I think Spielberg was worried it would feel like pandering.”
There are rumors that the deleted puppy scenes will appear on a director’s cut Blu-ray, due out later this year, but Universal Pictures would neither confirm or deny at press time.
