Dog Charged With Identity Theft After a three week search for the culprit, the FBI claims it has a dog named Oscar in custody on charges of impersonating and defrauding a giraffe. “He’s been writing bad checks all over town,” says special agent Terry Crawford, who works on fraud and identity theft cases. “He’s run up a $30,000 credit card bill and ruined the reputation of that poor giraffe.
