Dog Surfing Tournament Kicks Off in Sunny SoCal
Summer may be winding down, but it’s still a great time to catch some waves in Southern California. The 13th annual “Surf’s Up, Pup” tournament is underway in Solana Beach, where canine boaders from around the country compete for waves and glory.
“The first round kicked off this morning, and the competition is already stiff,” says Mike Fletcher, one of the judges this year. “Sparky hung ten on a sick concave, but Rex rode a tube all the way down the beach. It’s gonna be one hell of a year.”
