Economists: Window Doggie Prices Hold Steady
How much is that doggie in the window? According to global economists at the Brookings Institution, window doggie prices have stabilized this month after a massive sell-off over the first half of this year.
“The market was flooded with cheap window doggies from overseas,” said researcher Katherine Baxter, “which caused the bottom to fall out. However, new import taxes levied by the federal government have finally had an effect in the marketplace and prices have once again stabilized. It’ll be awhile before we see the sky-high prices of the last few years, though — if ever.”
According to Baxter, doggies with “waggly tails” will still fetch a premium.
