Hikers Lost for Hours Because of Cat

“In retrospect, we probably shouldn’t have let Elvis be the navigator,” said Brad Mills after being lost in the woods for nearly eight hours on Saturday.  That’s because Elvis is a cat and his navigation skills are sub-par, at best.  

After following directions mapped out by the feline, Mills, Elvis and two other friends trekked out into the South Dakota wilderness for what was supposed to be a short day hike. A couple of hours later, it was clear that they were lost and Elvis had no idea how to read maps.

The group was able to finally get their bearings after coming across a fire tower that had a cellular installation.
