Demographic Shift: Bunnies Love the Kardashians
Analysts at Nielsen were surprised to discover that bunnies, not humans, are responsible for the strong ratings of the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“There are a few people who still watch the show,” says Kevin Roy at Nielsen. “But the vast majority of the audience — 87% — are now bunnies.”
On the heels of these findings, sources inside the E! Network say executives are scrambling to line up new advertisers as traditional companies jump ship.
“They’re courting a lot of carrot and lettuce brands,” says an inside source who asked to remain anonymous. “There’s a big meeting with Dole tomorrow.”
