Cat Grows Old-Timey Mustache for Charity Cat homelessness is a cause near and dear to Maximus’s heart. The altruistic kitty began growing a mustache on Thursday in solidarity with those who have fallen on hard times. “He asked all his friends to support him and donate 50 cents for each day he keeps the ‘stache,” says Mark O’Dell, Maximus’s friend and roommate. “So far, he’s raised $4. Cat homelessness is a cause near and dear to Maximus’s heart. The altruistic kitty began growing a mustache on Thursday in solidarity with those who have fallen on hard times.
