Polar Bear Cubs at Odds Over ‘Who Pushed First’
By Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
An ongoing fight within the polar bear clan at Ouwehand Zoo in the Netherlands has escalated into a shoving match. The two cubs involved have exchanged heated barbs over who pushed first. It’s unclear what the initial argument that led to to the pushing was about.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Snowball insists that his sister Snowflake was the instigator, Snowflake has denied that allegation and places the blame on her brother.
“I saw it happen,” zookeeper Lars Kjellman, an eyewitness to the alleged first push, said. “I definitely saw one of the cubs push the other one. But from the other side of the enclosure, I couldn’t tell which one did it. They look identical from that distance.”
Kjellman said spats between the cubs are not uncommon.
“There was the time Snowball made a face at his sister,” he said. “Then the day that Snowflake was touching her brother. And don’t even get me started on when they couldn’t share the last trout at dessert last month.”
Huggies, the cubs’ mother, has has been called in as a mediator.

Kitty Lineup Fails to Identify Suspect
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
It was a routine procedure - but it had never been done with cats.
"We got the call late last Thursday," said Detective Dan Houser of the Topeka Police Department. "A woman was in her home and a cat just came in and started knocking things over. Naturally, she was terrified. We brought her in and did a police lineup."
To fill the feline rogues gallery, a collection of kitty ne’er-do-wells was corralled - along with the actual suspect.
"It didn’t help at all," says houser. "As it turns out, cats all look more or less alike. After a while, we had to let them all go."
Despite the setback, the TPD is confident they’ll get their cat.
"We’re going to do a sting operation," says Houser. "I can’t say much, but it involves a big plate of tuna. Actually, that’s basically all it is."

Puppy Tries to Recreate Cancelled Road Trip
By Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
Tallulah is a dog who loves to go for drives. Her favorite time of year is late summer, when she and her family take annual road trips around the midwest.
However, the family’s car has been in the shop for the entire summer, forcing a cancellation of this year’s vacation.
“We’re all disappointed that the car broke down,” family matriarch Margie Nitsa said via email. “Tallulah took it the hardest, though. She’s missing the call of the open road.”
Nitsa added that the puppy has been consoling herself by sitting in front of a fan, trying to recreate the feel of the wind in her fur.
“Sometimes I sit next to her and pretend to hold a steering wheel or flip through radio stations,” she said. “I think it’s helping her to cope with the disappointment.”

Cat’s Singing Disturbs Housemates
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
It was a seemingly peaceful apartment. Then, Jerry discovered his love of showtunes.
"He started off with Phantom, then Rent," says Drew Farber, a friend of the cat. “His housemates were annoyed, but didn’t raise much of a fuss. Then he got into Les Mis.”
Soon, Jerry’s incessant renditions of “I Dreamed a Dream” and “One Day More” became too much to bear.
"His housemates confronted him about it," says Farber. "They reached an agreement after that - no Broadway during naptime. Since that pretty much covered any time of day, everybody was good. I still have no idea how he never heard of Cats.”
